Bold headline: The future of veterinary care starts with a pledge that matters—and it happens in person.
Face-to-face Oathtaking for the New Veterinarians
The inaugural, in-person mass oathtaking for newly licensed veterinarians is scheduled for December 10, 2025, at Malberry Suites Business Hotel in Cagayan de Oro City.
Attendance and registration:
- All successful examinees who wish to attend the in-person oathtaking must register by 12:00 NN on the day before the event at https://online.prc.gov.ph. Registration confirms attendance, and tickets are issued on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Note that registering in the LERIS system does not guarantee a seat; a ticket must be secured for entry.
- Inductees must PRINT the Oath Form with their unique generated QR code. This QR will be scanned at the oathtaking to verify attendance.
Alternative formats:
- Those unable to attend the in-person event can participate in the online oathtaking or request a special oathtaking. Online oathtaking dates will be announced once schedules are finalized.
Post-oath steps:
- After taking the oath, inductees should complete Initial Registration by booking an online appointment at https://online.prc.gov.ph/.
Support:
- For questions or clarifications, contact the Philippine Veterinary Medical Association (PVMA), Inc. at 09171646440.
Contemporary note: The shift to a hybrid model—combining in-person and online oathtaking options—reflects a growing emphasis on accessibility while preserving the ceremonial importance of the traditional oath. How you interpret this transition (more inclusivity vs. potential scheduling constraints) is worth discussing.
Would you prefer the ceremonial in-person oath to remain the default, or should online alternatives be favored to maximize participation? Share your thoughts in the comments.
