Kelly Clarkson's 'The Kelly Clarkson Show' to End After Seven Seasons: 'It Wasn't Easy'
Kelly Clarkson has announced that her popular daytime talk show, 'The Kelly Clarkson Show,' will conclude after seven seasons. In a heartfelt Instagram post, Clarkson expressed her gratitude for the incredible journey and the talented team she's worked with.
'I've been incredibly fortunate to collaborate with an outstanding crew, both in Los Angeles and New York,' she shared. 'These seven seasons have been filled with memorable moments and shows. I'm forever grateful to have worked with the best band and crew, all the talented individuals who shared their time and lives with us, and the fans who supported our show. NBC has been an incredible and supportive partner throughout.'
Despite her love for the show, Clarkson made the difficult decision to step away due to her desire to prioritize her children. 'It hasn't been easy,' she admitted. 'But this season will be my last hosting TKCS. Taking a step back from the daily schedule will allow me to focus on my kids, which feels necessary and right for this new chapter in our lives.'
Clarkson's personal life has been through significant changes recently. She shares her 11-year-old daughter, River Rose, and 9-year-old son, Remy, with her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock. Tragically, Blackstock passed away in August at the age of 48 after a three-year battle with cancer.
Despite the show's conclusion, Clarkson assured her fans that she won't be going away for long. 'I'll continue to create music, perform live shows, and you might catch me on 'The Voice' from time to time,' she hinted. 'You never know where my next adventure might take me.'
